Missions
Women on Mission
The women of Unity meet regularly on the fourth Sunday of each month at 5:30 to plan mission activities throughout the Richmond community. They have been involved in such projects as helping the homeless shelter with Easter baskets, Christmas presents and back-to-school backpacks. Additionally, WMU has reached out to the neighboring subdivision in providing arts and crafts for the children and a Mother's Day Out.
Mission Trips
Whether it's across our great United States or in our very own back yard, Unity's members are willing to go the distance to do God's work. In the summer of 2004. a group of __ members, including men, women and teen-agers, ventured to Custer, South Dakota, to do construction work on local churches, perform with puppets at area campgrounds, etc.
In 2005, following God's direction, members opted to stay in Richmond and provide Unity with the labor to spruce up the building and grounds in order to make our facility inviting to visitors.
Food Pantry
Often times, Unity will receive calls requesting food in emergency situations. We keep a food pantry stocked for these special requests.
